Chrissa's Here and Happy New Year!

Hello, everyone! Zoe and I just want to wish you a Happy 2008 and a great 2009! We're excited because of three things:
1. Chrissa's on AG,
2. Chrissa's on AG, and
3. CHRISSA'S ON AG!!!!
I recently received the January 2009 catalog, and I love Chrissa! I also like all the new outfits. Zoe says she's thinking about getting Gwen as her last doll. For me, Chrissa and some others! :P So, if you go on American Girl this morning, she'll be there! They usually update the site around 8:00 AM, so keep that in mind when you wake up.
Again, we appreciate the many visitors we get on our site, and while '08 was great, '09 will be more fine! ;)

Chrissa!!

Hey, guys! Zoe and I were (very) excited when we saw the Chrissa doll's complete picture on Doll Diaries and that it looks just like my sister. We were also excited when we heard that she might have a BFF doll that looks just like me pre-haircut. (I got my hair cut ELEVEN inches, so now I look EXACTLY like Kit.) So, we're also pumped up for the premiere of Chrissa Stands Strong. We're going to watch it together! :) Well, I've gotta go help make some Christmas cookies, so bye-bye, French fries! ;)

P.S. Yes, I know, Zoe needs to start posting on here more! Lol :p

Good Doll Reference Sites

Okay, since we're all totally head-over-heels in love with American Girl, Zoe and I have found great sites for doll reference. We'll keep adding once we find more.

Doll Diaries, of course! dolldiaries.com
American Girl Playthings! agplaythings.com (They have a forum, too!)

Thanks to all the viewers, and if you have some site suggestions, please contact us at xtremebookclub@rocketmail.com.

Stop AG!

Thanks to Sienna (not Sienna C.) from Doll Diaries for this. I'm very happy that someone came up with this totally brilliant idea. It's a petition to stop American Girl from "archiving" Samantha and Nellie. Please sign!:

Again, thanks a lot!

Jessie's Back!

Hi, everyone! Jessie is BACK on Doll Diaries!!! I'm, of course, as angry as all of you at Samantha's retiring, and I got an email from them. I WAS SO MAD WHEN ZO-ZO TOLD ME THE NEWS!!
Sorry, meditation time, lol!
I do appreciate the publicity I get on Doll Diaries, and I'm sorry for causing all this nonsense with a Doll Diaries viewer (I will not mention names). Zoe's sorry too, and this is why she doesn't want to come back. But we're still madly in love with American Girl dolls. Mad about Samantha, too. Coments are welcome, and I believe you only need a Google account to post on our site.

Don't Leave, Samantha!!

I'm sorry if you think otherwise, but I'm ANGRY at American Girl for the retiring of Samantha. I heard from Gale on Doll Diaries that they will be announcing it on the 13 of October this year! But why, I wonder. Is it because they want to cut down production expenses for the Girl of the Year movie's expenses? Maybe they're just bored and don't like her? That can't be, for they specifically called her a "bright Victorian beauty". They don't say anything else like this for the other Historicals Characters! So, the logical reason would be the first one. I'm still mad, though, for she's been a favorite since her debut in 1986! Okay, I have let my anger out, and remember; your comments on this are still accepted, agreeing or disagreeing.

Lucky!

Oh, my gosh, Zoe, I am SO JEALOUS! Our dad let Zo-Zo get ANOTHER AG doll! It'll be her fourth one! When will I be able to get MY fourth one? I want to be even with you! ;)
Anyhow, Zoe's fourth one is what we named Cara (with every new issue and new dolls, we name all the JLYs. Call us dorks, were having fun! :) ) Layered brown hair, brown eyes, and medium skin (no piercing nor collection).
What a lucky duck she is!

Jessica S.
P.S. Guess we'll need a new background picture! :)

American Girl to Get New Items!

Hey, we haven't been posting new topics for quite a while, sorry! And, we deeply apologize, but due to our response, we have decided to shut down the Book Club blog. But here are some great news for IS Weekly!

Though it has been rumored that new American Girl merchandise would be coming out today, on the first, they haven't been released yet! However, Zoe and I are pretty sure that they'll be released on the 4th of September.
Some other news: The American Girl's next line of movies will be Julie, and will be a musical! I really do wonder what it will be all about, though. Anyway, be sure to check the site sometime late this year or early next year for casting calls!
Our last topic: The GOTY 2009! Her book has just been finished up by renown author Mary Cascanova (I hope that's how you spell it ;) ), and will be realesed New Years Day. I'm very excited!!!!!

Well, I think I've run out of things to say!

Happy Collecting!

American Girl's New Items!

Okay, this may be quite a bit old of news, but American Girl has recently added NEW Bitty Twins dolls!! Bitty Twins are dolls appropriate for preschool-aged girls that are similar to Bitty Baby, but appear older to help symbolize young childhood. Though the brunette and blonde dolls have been around for a while, American Girl has released dolls of Asian, Hispanic, and African-American ethnicity. Plus, the Bitty Twins arrive in new outfits, and they're so cute! Here are the samples of them (click on the links to view):

Trip to Chicago American Place

Hi everyone! I went for a visit to the American Girl Place in Chicago two weeks ago and this is what I found: a bunch of little girls with there dolls held securely in the hands with moms on tow. They were EVERYWHERE! In front of the salon, there was a billion little girls with dolls with messy disastrous hair in wild clumps. I was a bit overwhelmed at first, but after a while I was OK. Mom and I tried to get into the Cafe' but it was booked! Luckily we were able to get in the next morning for brunch. It was so fun. You bring your doll and they set her at the end of the table in a special tiny chair made for being clipped to the side. First they serve you tiny Cinnamon buns that taste terrific. Next you order your main dish. I chose the french toast with apples on the side. After that you are stuffed and can't even think about eating another bite, and then the waiter comes and brings you desert. Felicity's Sugar Cookie and Molly's Victory Garden. Well, I guess the french toast got to me, and I went off to the bathroom. And ya know what was waiting for me in the stall? A doll holder! What will they think of next? All in all, I had a fabulous visit and request it to anyone with little girls (or older girls :P) and am looking forward to my next visit.
